How can I build my Game for Linux?

My Game is running fine when I build it as a windows game. However, I have no clue how
to create a working Version of my Game for Windows.

    Thats what I tried:

    1. Downloaded the Linux Player at put th zip-File in my Platform Folder.
    2. Select "Linux" when I create my game.
    3. Now I have a folder with 4 Files:

    - config.ini, report.txt, MyGame.vis and MyGame_linux.zip.

I know from Linux that file Endings doesnt matter, but actually how is
a Linux user able to run my game with those 3 Files? The Wiki somehow mentions
a file called "start" to run the game. But I can't find that file. Not even in the _linux.zip
File. When I open the Zip File, there is only a config.ini, a .vis File and an empty (!)
    folder called libs64.

So for a linux noob, what do i have to do with those bunch of files to start the game?

Seems like the archives on the server are broken. I will look into it.

Normally the zip contains a start file that executes the binary.

I downloaded the player the 11 of January but it does not work, my tester say:
    "file/script start not found...
I'm testing on Kubuntu 14.4.3 (KDE) and Mint 17.2 (XFCE) "
It was still the old file?

I guess the file is still broken. You just need patience I guess. The website & servers of Visionaire are not maintained often. There are deadlinks in the shop and (in your case) broken files the wiki that haven't been fixed for months, so I guess this will not go any faster here. :-(

    That's why I rest for a while!

If I can see completely new workflow which is better later, then I can wait!

After that, Wiki things, dead links, etc will be fixed correctly. Who knows? The devs can prepare overhaul of this whole website!

I'm afraid so, ... I thought SimonS had corrected the problem immediately, as it did with the Mac zip. I imagine they're in a phase of overwork, no prob I'll wait grin

Still waiting since 4 Months to the linux file to be fixed.
I get more and more the feeling that the devs have abandoned Visionaire to be honest...

It's a bit curious, since all they need to do is re-upload it. The previous linux player was working OK'ish.
I get that rewriting larger parts of the engine is a lot of work etc, but a re-upload should be doable wink

@simplicius. Yes it is a shame that the product they sell is not actively supported and you have to beg for 4 Months to get a simple file reuploaded.
Do you have a working version of the linux player you can share?
