I am running 5.0.0 Build 1188 w/ ShaderToolkit vers 0.95 on Macbook Pro (Retina, mid 2012) OS 10.12.4. Able to dev and build for the most part. The only glaring issues that I have experienced have been:
The editor and player seem to be running "hot" sorry- this is hard for me to pinpoint exactly- as both memory and CPU levels seem to be similar to 4.2.5. However, Apple's Activity Monitor has an "Energy" section within which, 5 runs about 2-3 times higher than 4.2.5- whatever that means. Maybe an issue with the Nvidia card? (NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB)
Zooming seems to cause crashes in the scene editor. Not all the time- I think I may have been pressing ctrl + cmd + scroll when this occured.
My game is always pushing the engine to work hard, and I just cobbled together a build for LD- so it is bug ridden. (I'll post a link in the blog.) But, I have been experiencing a crash after 7 minutes on Mac that my Windows machine doesn't replicate. Same experience with the test build of the game. Wondering if it's finally time to update? Probably pushing it at 5 years old.
Otherwise, the new GUI is awesome- so much faster to work with. Looking forward!
