CoMI Style Ring Interface

    (curse of monkey island ring interface)

    I made this at request of Dogghy. (sorry it took me a while to finish - as it got a tad complicated due to basing it on first person)

    Even though is geared more towards first person you can take the basic premise of the interface & edit remove anything that is not needed like setting the char x/y position each time you display text.

    the only reason I set the x/y pos is so that the displayed text is centered in a text box I have fade in/out. I also had to create a small blank png file for the char so we could calculate the x/y pos even more accurately smile this would not be needed in a 3rd person game.

    Anyway I've included a readme file in the rar for anyone who want's more info on what this template does.

    welcomes - I had to make it like it is as it's the only way that made sense to me for first person.

    I originally tried having your right click to open inventory but seemed pointless as most of the time you'd probably only need to use an item on the current object no?

    can always change it mind.

    if it was 3rd person I would have hidden interface when click on inventory icon & allowed combining of items, dragging items & so on.

    I think that integrating the inventory system on the interface menu is the right way!

    me personally I will be using the broken sword style interface as it's the one I prefer the most + I will be allowing command on own character which will open the inventory - well it's what I have in mind at least smile

    will be making a broken sword style one soon too.

    that & some other templates - seeing as there's a lack of stuff for new v.s users &/or non-tech savvy people wink

    This is an old topic, but I was interested in checking this out.
    The only problem is the demo is WAY too big for my screen, and trying to set it to a lower size only cuts everything off the screen. Namely the dialog box at the top.

    I made this as an example for another member - he gave me his project file & resources etc - I just created & added the ring interface stuff.

    run in fullscreen mode with widescreen support checked & it will scale down to your screen size!

    Or maybe I won't figure it out. Hmm.
    I can't find any settings for display options, other than the resolution drop down menu.
    And that doesn't have anything on it for fullscreen, or widescreen, or anything.
