System requirements for exported projects

I just built my game for Windows and I want to know what versions of Windows it's compatible with so others will be able to know if their PC can run the game. I've set up several virtual machines yet they all refuse to run my game and trying to install the necessary graphics cards/etc. on the VMs is a needless hassle. Is there a list of minimum system requirements for games made in Visionaire Studio 5 anywhere?

The OS I used while making/building the game is Windows 10 if that helps.

They just have to be 64bit machines. I believe support for windows 7 was dropped, so windows 8 onwards as long as they are using 64bit versions of windows. As for RAM they need at least 2GB, but 4GB or more is recommended & as for CPU, dual core should be enough. Also a graphics card with at least 1-2GB of dedicated VRAM.

However, what I mentioned above will vary for each game depending on what the default resolution for your game is. How many animations you use in each scene. & various other factors.

Quick note: I think what I've said is correct, but only Simon can really confirm.

Windows 7 is still supported, XP support is dropped. 64bit is required.

GPU won't really need 2GB, depends heavily on the game, most games are fine with less than 1Gig.

Sorry, I couldn't remember if it was windows 7 or xp. As Simon said, you probably won't need exactly what I said, but it's subjective & each game is different, so you can't just say all games made with VS require x specs to run, which is also true for all other game engines.

As for your issue of not having windows, I would recommend considering installing a VM on your machine & installing windows on it, which version is up to you. Or you could look into dual booting. Or you could borrow a windows laptop off a friend or family member. etc.

In regards to VM (virtual machine), how well windows would run would depend on how powerful your machine is & which version of windows you install as technically the machine would still be running your original OS in the background, so don't expect the results/speed to be as fast/smooth as running an actual windows machine.
