Was going to say... I was sure you were working on a cartoony adult game & not a 3D one - but that was before I read the entire post.Thank you!
Good luck with the new Steam Direct thing. I know they have adult content games on there (anime/manga - whatever it's called - stuff), so having adult content shouldn't really be a factor for them to turn it down.
If Steam can turn down submissions, then hopefully it will be less incentive for the shovelware trading card selling asset flippers to submit their games to Steam as $100 or whatever it is per game is a bit of a sting if a game doesn't get accepted & even if the game does get accepted, then I believe there's a system in place (or so I read) where lesser known or new devs can't add trading cards to their game until x sales/amount has been made, which is unlikely for shovelware games.
Anyway, good luck (again)!
Yeah, nice graphics in the video, but out of curiosity why did you upload video to mega rather than sharing as private video on say youtube?
As for things to consider...
maybe add some people into the trailer - even briefly or create an additional small gameplay montage trailer, so the player has a better understanding of what the game will be like. I think you would have to keep it moderately family friendly? Not sure what Steam/Valve are like with trailers with adult content in them...
By they way, after my game greenlit, couple of days later, steam guys asked me to remove the adult screenshots of the game. Then i deleted the +18 ones...Steamworks work's differently thatn Greenlight. They verify everything first so they will avoid auditing games after they are greenlit. If something needs to be removed , they will tell me before they approve my store.
So there is no demo? ^^
