oh... ok, I'm not going to fork out more money for software when I have sh*t loads of software that does 3D bones animation anyway
I just wanted to add a few 3D static objects that can be interacted with, I could use character but I have to create a selectable area and its hard work placing them
I agree Sebastian.. if I hadn't of tried it as a character first I could of been messing about for hours trying to figure out why nothing was showing
@ Nige: you could try DragonBones. It's free & you can supposedly export Spine models from it.
http://dragonbones.comQuick note: Spine, DragonBones, Spriter, etc are sprite part animation applications & have nothing to do with 3D. They are for 2D animation, but do allow you to create joints/bones to chain together multiple image layers.
P.S: another member on here explained in a thread the other month how to export Spine format from DragonBones, if I remember correctly. Then again, not really sure if it will be all that much use to you as I'm guessing you was wanting something you could rotate/manipulate & use for generating projected shadows?
