I'm trying to figure out how to make Visionaire show disembodied text, pretty much just floating text in the center of the screen, possibly without assigning an actor for the text or something.
Is there a way to do that? I want to have a disembodied voice in the little experimental personal project I'm using to screw around with the software. :v

couple of options:
1. select action part > misc > display speaker text. (let's you display text anywhere you like) 2. you can also use the lua registerHookFunction() - I've not finished the wiki page or example mind.

I figured out another way to do it as well. Use the change character font command to swap to a different font for the other voice to talk, and still have the text centered above your character's head.
(I noticed that using the display text command doesn't center the text where you position it. It aligns the left side of the text there.)

you have to set the alignment in the game properties tab. if you look you'll see 2 alignment options for text. "text alignment" & "speaker text alignment".
er no I'm not one of the developers. Currently there's 3 developers working pretty much day & night on gutting out VS so that we can add support for mobile platforms (ios & android)
I'm kind of the English support amongst other things.

English support - enough said
I just help out, where & when, I can. Before me, there wasn't much English support at all - or rather you had to wait quite a while for an answer - if you got one at all
there's a few members missing from it that need adding at some point. SimonS being one of them who's working on the iOS/android target ports & some Polish guy working on the 2.5D support I believe - I think - well as far as I've been told.
