Let me try again. I am game designer from Estonia. My main influences are games from 90's. I design games where story and gameplay are balanced -instead story evolving constantly, story evolves when some big goal is reached and player usually has quite many places to explore at once. My ideas range from fantasy to sci-fi to western and some of my designs involve interwinding stories that directly affect gameplay. Gameplay in my games may switch between one reality and another, player's character may try to reach personal goal at one moment and try to save day in next, or gameplay may even alternate between present and character's memories. If this is ok with administrators, i add text games i have made to show how i structure my games https://firedrop.com/e4de9b46b1ab04065a5de3eaf7af16d6 http://frd.li/be343ac00d775916a134915b429b38bd

I tried out space detective and it seems nice. How are you with writing dialogue? I do know of someone on another who needs someone to do dialogues/scenarios/script for a visual novel. It is for a jam so there is a deadline though? I could introduce you?

I think you will have a hard sell turning an idea of your own since mostly everybody on this forum is already working on a idea of their own, but I do see you know puzzle design as well, which may be valuable. It is not something I need at the moment since I already got the design doc for my game finished.

Tymor, i like to be involved with designing gameplay to some extent at least and visual novels are less puzzle centered than i design.

That depends. I'm currently doing some freelance on a Visual Novel at the minute, though when I say Visual Novel, it's more of a hybrid as it features classic myst-like scene interaction during none-dialog parts.

These guys have successfully taken graphical text games onto Steam and pc, mac, handhelds

There's no reason why you couldn't do the same with VS
As far as Chris's games go, he gets mixed reviews, his engine isn't a text parser so its more of a Make your own adventure type feel, hard core IF gamers find it a bit easy but regular gamers find them hard

Actually that visual novel would be more akin to the Phoenix Wright series so it would still have more gameplay than the usual visual novel (although maybe not puzzles in the sense you envision).
