Troubles with using items

Hi, I'm new to Visionaire so I'm not certain what my problem actually is. I'm trying to learn how to pick up and use items. I've gotten so far that items show up in my inventory, however I'm not able to interact with the items when they are in the inventory. I've tried to assign simple actions to confirm that the game is regestering the click and so far no luck. And I assume just hovering over the item should display the name in the same manner as within the scene (Action Text), so I'm thinking it's the Inventory that isn't responding correctly.

I guess my question is, what should I be looking for to correct this?

If it matters, I'm basically working from the Fantasy Quest game and I've been comparing the data over and over, but I can't seem to figure out why it works in that game and not mine.

A'llo, please could you share some screenshots or a video of how you have setup your inventory please?

Certainly. The big difference from the Fantasy Quest game is that I'm keeping my inventory on at all time. I have eight basic slots for items and back/forward arrows.
For my test I made 9 books that can be picked up and they show up in the Inventory as the should. That's where it stops. I can't access the items in the inventory.

Found a solution. Turns out I missed the importance of adding an Interface Area; figured the Object Area was all I needed to get it working.

    Thanks anyway, AFRLme.

Sorry, didn't reply sooner. Was going to ask if you had set the interface area &/or assigned the interface to the playable character. Anyway, nice one for figuring it out yourself. smile
