I'm not a mac user, so I don't know if it works differently on macOS. On windows you can right click on the .exe file & edit dpi settings in the compatibility tab.
There is some option for overriding the dpi in the actual editor options too, but I don't know when it was added to the editor or what it does exactly. It can be found by clicking on the menu icon (top left, 3 horizontal lines) > options... > settings: override dpi.
What happens if you manually drag resize the editor?
* Ah, by scaling option you mean the one to do with the desktop resolution? I'm not sure how to do that on mac either. On windows we have a display settings that lets us tweak our desktop resolution, scaling amount (default is 100%), & which monitor to use as our primary, etc. I found
this for mac, maybe it will help?
